2010 has come to a close, and according to my Last.Fm these are the Top 10 songs that I played over the last few months. I did this same list last year, so it’s interesting to see how much my taste has changed (or stayed the same). Check it out below!
10. Lady Gaga – Monster
This song was my No.4 song of 2009! Can you tell I’m a Gaga fan?
9. Willow Smith – Whip My Hair
When this song (and video) came out, I don’t know a single person who wasn’t jamming to it! I played the heck outta this one in 2010!
8. Robyn – Dancing On My Own
I’m surprised this song only has 36 plays because I think 30 of them were the first night I heard it. I downloaded this song and instantly fell in love with it.
7. Christina Aguilera – Woohoo (feat. Nicki Minaj)
This song reminds me of the summer because it was blasting out of my car on my lunch break every single day. Not even a huge fan of this song anymore, but I played it 37 times in 2010.
6. Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce – Telephone
Obviously this song was a big one for me in 2010, though I am surprised I’ve only played 39 times in the last 12 months!
5. Lady Gaga – Alejandro
This was my No.1 played song in 2009. The video finally came out in the spring of this year which I’m sure garnered a few more plays from me.
4. Glee Cast (Rachel) – Papa Can You Hear Me?
Lea Michele blew me away when she was hanging out with Finn singing to the stars. This song got a whopping 70 plays, and I’d say 68 of them were in my car while I screamed along with it.
3. Glee Cast (Kurt) – I Want To Hold Your Hand
Chris Colfer singing this song alongside his dad’s hospital bed had a profound affect on me. This was the same episode as “Papa Can You Hear Me.” Really great stuff and I played it 94 times in 2010.
2. Adele – Rolling In The Deep
I’ve only had this song on my iPhone/iTunes for about a month, and it’s my No.2 song of 2010! I really really love Adele and love basically anything that she sings. I have a feeling more Adele music will find its way in to my top played music of 2011.
1. Glee Cast (Mercedes) – I Look To You
It’s very rare (and usually debatable) when you can say someone sang a Whitney Houston song better than Whitney did, but in this case I do believe she did. Amber Riley sang this in the same episode as “Papa Can You Hear Me” and “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and blew me away. I played this song 124 times in 2010. That seems a bit off (I don’t think I played it that much) but I’ll go with it!
