This makes a lot more sense to me than an iPod charger.
Apparently Apple has filed a patent to have MagSafe power chargers (the kind found on their notebook line) added to future iPads. I think this is a great idea considering they are wanting iPads to be the choice over netbooks and even notebooks. They market these devices as portables, not mp3 players. Being able to plug your iPad in to your existing notebook charger would be very convenient, though probably the same convenience as the already existing iPod charger.
The only thing I see being an issue is the fact that people will be less inclined to plug their iPads in to their computers to charge, which means less time on iTunes and less business. Maybe Apple is going to upgrade the iPad to compensate for that lost time with a more advanced and accessible iTunes/App Store?
Only time will tell!
