Don’t get your power chords in a bundle over this. Yes, free wifi is coming to NYC parks next summer…but only for 3 10-minute sessions per month. That means you can lug your computert to the middle of Central Park, check your e-mail, and go home!
I’m glad this is happening but it’s like, really? 10 minute sessions? 3 of them?
Timewarner and Cablevision spent $10 million dollars on making this happen so why not just offer like 2 half hour sessions? The U.S. is so far behind with broadband, and it’s making this “deal” look silly if you ask me.
