Today I thought up something awesome while daydreaming on my lunch break. Why not have people Tweet me numbers and see if I can win the lottery with them! Though this could be done with any group of friends on any social networking site, wouldn’t it be fun to say that I won $40 million dollars because of Twitter?
The rules were, the first 6 people to @ reply me with a number between 1 and 50 would be the numbers I chose to play in the Maryland Lottery. I also said that I would split the winnings with the 6 people if I win. The odds of winning are posted somewhere on the Maryland Lottery website, and I am sure it’s somewhere near 1 in X amount of millions, but it would be worth it nonetheless.
I’ll be back to update on what the numbers were, who the first 6 were, and a picture to prove I played the numbers!
UPDATE: The Tweeted numbers to me are 23, 15, 48, 39, 3 and 28. I got 15 and 23 from more than one person but they didn’t @ reply me back quick enough with a different number. Here is a list of the Twitter users that might be sharing MILLION$ with me:
