UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Betty White will be hosting SNL on May 8 along with other comedians like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch.

People.com (magazine) have a direct quote from Betty White at Elton John’s Oscar-watch party confirming that she will indeed be on SNL!

When asked if she were going to be appearing on SNL, Betty said:

“Yes. I don’t know why or how, but it’s been wonderful.”

Yes it is wonderful!!! This is sure to be ratings gold, and I for one, couldn’t imagine a more exciting host.

There have been rumors that Betty White would host SNL with a few other female comedians in a “Women of Comedy” show. I think Betty could do an entire hour of amazing skits, and would hope they give her her own right to do so.

Is anyone else as excited about this as I am!?

picture-1Looks like my friend was right!

Back at the beginning of February a friend of mine said he heard through his friend that Zac dropped his Philadelphia engagements for 17 Again to host SNL on April 11. I posted it on my site and it got around the internets pretty quickly.

SNL has finally made this info public, and it’s true!

I wonder if the tweens are going to be staying up late. I hope SNL makes him funny. He needs something like this.

picture-1So after talking to a friend last night about Zefron pulling out of his Philadelphia engagements to host SNL, and posting it online, it seems that the news has found its way around the interwebs.

Most notably this evening, when the information I posted last night before anyone else made its way to Queen of bloggers, PerezHilton.com

Aw he even used the same line I did, “Word on the street is…”

Hey Perez, a ping-back would have been nice! :)

Talked to the same person today who says it’s very true and not a rumor, so we’ll see. You heard it here first y’all!

details-zac-efronI have a friend that has a friend that has a friend that has a friend who works for a movie promotion company in Philadelphia.

Word on the street is that Zac canceled his promotion for 17 Again in Philadelphia so that he could host SNL on April 11!

SNL is very secrective about letting the public know who is hosting and when, so if this rumor comes true, I will be one very happy guy! :)

SNL Has Best Ratings in 14 Years! October 20, 2008

Sarah Palin was on SNL this passed weekend for those of you who have been out of touch with society lately. CNN is reporting that SNL has had its best ratings in 14 years on Saturday night! That’s hard to believe! Think about all of the political drama that has happened in the last 14 years. SNL has always spoofed the most exciting political events. They had better ratings then when Will Ferrell was on?!

I just can’t believe that a person who is only controversial because she gets her facts wrong, and because she is a female can garner SNL its best ratings in 14 years! Either way good for the writers and producers of SNL!

Above is a screen cap that I took from a CNN report that I saw on TV. Check it out here. It’s very interesting.

I was browsing the Apple HD movie trailers today and ran across this trailer by the producers of “Little Miss Sunshine.”

I love browsing trailers and learning about new movies but this one I am exceptionally excited for the release. It has Amy Adams in it, who I never really liked until I saw her on SNL a few months ago.

Anyway here is the link to the trailer for Sunshine Cleaners. Maybe you’ll think it’s as cute as I do! I can’t wait.

Talk about ratings gold!

Turns out Sarah Palin (the acutal one!) has confirmed to be on SNL tomorrow night! This is huge! Will Tina be back spoofing her at the same time? I think having Fey and Palin on screen at the same time will yield some of the biggest ratings SNL has had in years.

Does anyone remember when Will Ferrell spoofed Janet Reno, and then she came on to the show and tore his ass up and then started awkwardly dancing? I think it may even be on his ‘Best Of’ DVD.

Anyway this is awesome news, and I can’t wait to see how SNL works with the skit!

Obama/McCain Debate Tonight at Hofstra October 15, 2008

Tonight at 9PM will be the last of 3 very important presidential debates. I’m kind of excited about it, but at the same time I don’t really care. The first Presidential debate was so boring, and it lost my attention right away. The second one was a bit more interesting, but I did end up falling asleep on them.

What makes this debate a little more interesting is that it is being held at Hofstra University which is where my best friend Johnny goes to school. He tried to get tickets to see it live but apparently didn’t win one–it was a lottery system.

By now, don’t we all kind of understand that Obama is pulling away. I mean all he really has to do is just stay true to his ways and I think it’s pretty much a given that he will be our new President come January. I was just talking to someone about how this summer it kind of scared me how close the polls were, but lately I have had a sense of relief–that all we have to do is sit back and watch the news, and watch history unfold itself. It’s really exciting.

I wish Obama would have made his way through West Virginia a bit more. It would have been interesting to see him here at WVU. When I saw Bill Clinton here, I was a staunch Hillary supporter…maybe I still am. The consensus all over campus when Bill was here was that people were excited that a change was coming. Obama needs to come here and do that. With only 20 some days left before we vote, I don’t see that happening.

Anyway, make sure you watch the debate tonight. I am sure I will end up posting my thoughts about it later tonight or tomorrow. Better yet, maybe I will wait until SNL spoofs it this week so I can get a better understanding of the otherwise boring, mundane bickering.
