Do you love ice cream? Do you love the Queen City Creamery? Do you love Jesus? Then guess what, there’s a new opportunity for you to help local youth groups in Cumberland.
My very good friend Laura Alkire just posted the following message on her MySpace.
Hey friends! The youth group at my church is currently participating in Survivor Sundae at the Queen City Creamery. The teens created their own ice cream sundae and are competing with 5 other area youth groups. The sundae they created is called “Lazy Sundae”. For every sundae that is sold, our youth group will receive $1. At the end of each week, the lowest selling sundae will be “voted off”. For each week we stay in the game, we receive additional prize money. The money that we receive from this fundraiser will go toward paying our teens’ tuitions to attend Catholic Heart Work Camp this summer. If you happen to be in the mood for some ice cream, please stop by the Creamery and order a ‘Lazy Sundae”. Even if you aren’t too thrilled about what is on the sundae itself, you can change it up with whatever you want on it–just make sure you mention that you want the money to go toward ST.
AMBROSE TEEN MINISTRY!! Thank you!
So that means now that you know, stop down at the Creamery and help Laura’s youth group win the top prize! I’ll be updating later with how it all went.
