Here is a list of things that I am a little more optimistic about receiving on Christmas morning. I’m not a materialistic person, there are just some things I would love to have.

iTunes Gift Card – $25
This is probably the most useful thing anyone could ever get me because I spend the most money on iTunes music, and iPhone apps. This is one thing that would absolutely, 100% go to use!

Lady Gaga Tickets – $59-$400
If you’ve taken a glimpse of my website in the last 6 months, it should be pretty clear that I have a new fascination, obsession, and muse. Her name is Stefani Germanotta and she’s a free bitch. Gaga is playing Radio City Music Hall in NYC on MY BIRTHDAY (January 24). I honestly can’t think of a better birthday situation. Gaga + NYC + My best friends + Radio City Music Hall + my birthday = perfect birthday soup. I woke up to make sure I could get tickets to the show and they sold out (as well as her 3 other dates in NYC) in less than a minute. I was very upset, but I am willing to drop a small fortune to be able to say I saw Gaga’s Monster Ball tour at Radio City Music Hall on my birthday. I’m hoping to get tickets for January 23rd so that I can see her, go have fun on that Saturday night, and then drive back home on Sunday, which is actually my birthday. My friend Danny who has a birthday on January 29th is going to go with me, so feel free to make his birthday amazing as well.

Nintendo Wii - $199
My roommate has a Nintendo Wii, and when I saw that Super Mario Bros. Wii came out, I actually bought the game just so I could play it on his Wii. Since this won’t make any sense once I move out, I am hoping that I get one this year. I hinted around to my Dad that I wanted one, but not sure if he figured it out. This is the Nintendo Wii’s second appearance on my Christmas list.

Parking Tickets – ~$80
In my opinion, one of the greates gifts you can give someone is freedom of stress. My life is ruined day in and day out by Morgantown parking tickets. What better way to pull an Oprah, than by paying off my parking tickets! I think I’ve got somewhere around $80 worth now.

Blu Ray Player – ~$130
Though Blu Ray will be extinct in a few years, in my and others’ opinions, I realized I am starting to get back in to movies again. I’m not sure why, but it’s exciting to have another thing to collect and be excited about. After watching a few movies in Blu Ray, I’ve realized that there is no other option for me. Blu-Ray players are very cheap this holiday season, so I am hoping I’ll be opening one on Christmas morning.

Replaced iPhone Screen – $200
I have dropped the couple of iPhones that I have owned in my lifetime HUNDREDS of times. The one time it falls gently to the ground it somehow manages to crack the screen, as you can see above. Luckily, the phone and all of its functions still work. I have AppleCare protection for it, but of course the plan covers everything EXCEPT cracked screens and water damage. What other damage can you have, really? Regardless of if I have AppleCare or not, the fee to replace the screen is $200, which is actually much cheaper than buying a brand new phone anyway.

These are some items that would be great to open on Christmas morning. However, I am a firm believer that it is the thought that counts. I love personalized anything. If you drew a pretty picture on a napkin one day at a late night diner, wrapped it up, and gave it to me, I promise I would cherish it forever. I love my friends and I love when my friends give me their works of art, or letters, or just general love.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas List 2009 Part 1 – Fantasy Gifts November 28, 2009

Last year I posted my Christmas List on here, which was full of basically really expensive, inappropriate requests. I think I was hoping my family would stumble across it and be inspired to buy me a new MacBook Pro, but it never happened.

This year I am doing it again, and I guess being a little more realistic about the things I want. I’m breaking it down to Fantasy Gifts (the gifts I want but know I’ll probably never get), Realistic Gifts (the gifts that I think would be appropriate given my lifestyle, hobbies, and infatuations), and Please Don’t Give Me These Gifts (gifts that I know would be better received by other people…I’m not ungrateful, it’s the thought that counts, but think of this as a tool to help).

15” MacBook Pro – $1,500
I’m nearing graduation, so I think if I don’t get this for Christmas I’ll ask for it for my graduation. I’m positive that I won’t get it for graduation either, so I’ll end up spending my own money on it sometime next summer, probably. My current 15” MacBook Pro will be 3 years old in May, and though I love it, I think it’s time.

Planet Ticket to and from Italy – $900
I have this thing where I only fly across the Atlantic every other year. I was hoping to stop that trend this year but didn’t have the time since I was working full time over the summer. Hopefully, in 2010, I’ll make it back home to Italy and make more life-changing memories.

Meet & Greet Lady Gaga Monster Ball Tickets
These aren’t unreasonably priced considering you get front row seats, her Heartbeats headphones, catering, and a meet & greet photo op. However, I’m not about to drop half a grand on anything unless it’s a down payment on a new car, house, or student loan. However, of all of the gifts in my fantasy section of this list, this one would probably make me cry the most upon opening.

To me my outfits aren’t wacky. They are who I am. The fame can kill you. You say I am my clothes, and I am my clothes. And my clothes bleed too. Just like me.

I’m trying not to make my site all about Lady Gaga, but I’ve been in Gaga mode more than ever the last couple of weeks. And, the announcement of her deluxe edition of “The Fame Monster” was definitely blog-worthy.

Gaga’s deluxe edition, among other things, features a lock of her hair! The deluxe edition is available for preorder on her website for a steep $99.98. However, I can see Gaga die-hards shelling out the big bucks for the hair. Not only does it include hair but a personal note from the artist. I find it hard to believe that the hair or the note would be real, but then again I can see her doing this for her fans too.

Also interesting is the fact that it includes 3D glasses for “viewing forthcoming Gaga visuals.” This could get really exciting! Read below for the full list of what it includes!

BGCDLG03SETThe ultimate peek into the Haus Of Gaga spanning music, fashion, art, fans and gossip! ‘The Fame Monster’ includes:

* The original album ‘The Fame’

* The definitive “Book of Gaga”-A highly stylized collector’s edition art table book housed in a custom slipcase documenting Gaga’s journey into pop superstardom including:

* A lock of Lady Gaga’s hair
* Collectible puzzle
* Pictorials
* A behind the scenes look at her creative process
