It’s probably a matter of time before this video gets taken off of YouTube, so enjoy it while you can.

And by enjoy it I mean try to get through the whole thing without feeling befuddled or saying “What the hell is going on.”

LittleAshes_Poster_4R5Okay, okay. I know that I tear Robert Pattinson up on my blog all the time for looking like hell and for smelling bad. (Yes, I can smell him through my computer).

However, R-Patz is starring in a movie about one of my favorite people, Salvador Dali, called Little Ashes. There are actually a couple movies about Salvador Dali coming out soon. I don’t know why there is a sudden rush to make Salvador Dali movies, but I will definitely be seeing them all.

Dali is such an inspiring personality. His devotion to being the best at what he does is something I’ve always admired not only in him but in so many other people. I think if people looked up to and wanted to be like Salvador Dali instead of Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan, this world would be a much more beautiful and better place. I know it’s cliche to say, but when you see someone so dedicated to testing the limits of what is “normal” in a time when Spain and most of Europe was falling a part, you can’t help but be inspired.

I have to say the couple of clips/scenes that I have seen from Little Ashes look really good. Mr. Pattinson looks the part I always thought Dali would be. To be fair, I don’t know much about his love interest or the actor for that matter, so I can’t really say anything about either person.

What I am really liking about the clips is that there isn’t much dialogue. It seems that the director is sort of letting the r and actions speak for themselves. One scene I watched the other day was 2 minutes of the two of them swimming and it was so beautiful to watch. It wasn’t very good quality, but it was beautiful from what I could see. Neither of them were speaking. With very little dialogue (if any?) in these clips, I have still been mesmerized and interested throughout what I was watching. The cinematographer has a crucial role in making scenes like that work, and it seems as if they have thus far.

I am hoping it opens nationwide so that I get a chance to see it tomorrow. Check out the trailer here (embedding has been disabled by every video I could find). If it opens in your area, definitely go see it!

During Britney’s concert in Connecticut the other day a fan rushed on stage and freaked Britney the eff out! I was waiting for a close up video to show her freaking out to hit YouTube and here it is! It’s right around the 2:15 mark. Notice how she looks away for a split second and turns around and he’s standing there in her face.

I guess I would have freaked out too!

dsc03750Just got back from the Britney Spears concert in Pittsburgh! It was an absolute blast! C’Anna, her friend Kendra, and Kendra’s boyfriend and I went together.

I have to say that I definitely did have a great time and it was a great show, but it wasn’t earth-shatteringly amazing by any stretch. In 2007 I saw Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics tour, and since then nothing has really stacked up. The Pussycat Dolls opened for Christina in 2007 and opened tonight for Britney and they were definitely a ton better this time than they were in 2007. I think they had 6 members back then too, but I don’t remember.

Before we headed in to the show C’Anna used the wig (that she bought me for my birthday last year) and was wearing it through the arena. She saw this guy standing around with his wig, and screamed “Excuse me!” and gestured to her head. Obviously I needed to take a picture of it. dsc03732

Britney sounded looked really good. She didn’t sing live, and the entire show was done to a vocal track, which I knew going in. I mean if the Spice Girls can sing live, I think Britney Spears can, right? The show had a lot of cool things, such as the sideshows. They had different acts come out and entertain the crowd for a few moments between songs and costume changes. The most amazing one of the night was this girl who was being catapulted in to the air by two guys and a beam. I took video of it which you can see below.

A really cool part of the show was during an interlude when the monitors came down to stage level and a video of Britney in a very sexual orgy-esque room singing to “Sweet Dreams” (…are made of these), came on. It went from club dancing Britney Spears to grunge rock Britney Spears and the entire crowd went crazy for it!

Though the concert as a whole was very sensory overload and exciting, I can’t say that Britney herself was anything amazing. I mean how hard is it to walk and dance around on stage without singing? I guess I’ll never know. All in all, Britney’s still my girl though.

Here’s the crazy video of that girl flipping around on the balance beam. Watch all the way through because she just keeps doing more and more crazy stuff!

According to BritneySpears.com my Twitter feed, her new video for “Circus” has been moved up one night to premiere tonight on Entertainment Tonight. Odds are this happened because of the video leak on a Chinese website earlier today.

Check out the leak below.

41bhhuhbksl_ss500_-1Tonight the Grammy nominations were announced and my home girl Adele cashed in big time! She’s up for 4 awards:

  • Best New Artist
  • Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Chasing Pavements”
  • Record of the Year for “Chasing Pavements”
  • Song of the Year for “Chasing Pavements”

I fell in love with Adele a few months ago, and if you want a CD that’s worth your money buy “19.” It’s so good! In fact, click here, it’s so good!

Also of note, Kathy Griffin was nominated for Best Comedy Album for “For Your Consideration.” I hope she wins so she can talk about having an Emmy and a Grammy! Haha!

Annoyingly, Katy Perry was only nominated for Best Female Pop Performance, not Best New Artist where she should have been. However, musical shit heads like THE JONAS BROTHERS were nominated for Best New Artist. This is clearly a TV ratings move. Or maybe the Grammys are scared to nominate a girl who sang a song about kissing another girl. LAME!

Either way I am very excited for Adele. I am going to be purchasing tickets in a few days to see her at the 9:30 Club in D.C. on January 17! I’m so excited! Oh yeah, speaking of concert tickets, guess who has ring side seats to Britney Spears’ Pittsburgh show on March 27? THIS GUY! ;)
