Has there ever been so much hate filling up the news? What is going on in America that has fueled so much hatred towards others? I honestly don’t think there has been this much hate and vengeance since the Civil Rights movement.
I’ve never been more devastated and heartbroken about this subject then when I read about 13 year-old Larry King, who was shot and killed at point-blank by a classmate in front of his entire class because his classmate thought he was gay. A 13 year-old boy felt compelled enough and brainwashed enough to think that bringing a gun to school, to shoot and kill another 13 year-old child was the correct thing to do. If you’re a Republican who is against gun control and are reading this, I encourage you to explain why you think gun control is a bad idea.
America is full of ignorant, redneck (yeah I said it, and I know what it means), ego-driven assholes. Why wouldn’t we be? We are the land of the free, home of the brave. We are people who wave and stand by our confederate flags we have hanging in our windows but have no idea who Robert E. Lee is. We can do whatever we want, whenever we want, however we want. Unless you’re gay – and then you have a handful of very important, life-changing governmentally protected rights that just simply don’t apply to you. Sorry! Better luck next time life.

The rainbow pattern is an international symbol of the peace and does not necessarily represent the gay connotation.
Only in America can a group of people rally together to vote to take away the rights of a minority. Since when is that up to voters? Proposition 8 is an embarrassment and severe blow to the ethos of the State of California, once considered the most liberal state in America. When will there be a proposition banning straight people from getting married? Or atheists? If it’s against the Bible for gay people to marry, why are atheists and agnostics allowed?
Think about the recession, the fact that people are starving in the United States, the fact that people aren’t going to college because they can’t afford tuition, and then think of the fact that the Mormon church spent $40,000,000 (40 million dollars) on the Proposition 8 campaign. Does the Mormon church really believe that $40,000,000 spent on amending a civil right, keeping two people from being married, is more important and concerning than say funding scholarships, or advancing the American economy that is in a shit-like state at the moment? That’s not being very Christ-like…or whatever that guy’s name is that lives on that other planet that you worship.
Next, an 88 year-old neo-nazi walks through the door of the Holocaust Museum, that a black security guard graciously opens for him, and then shoots him in the chest. The security guard dies, the neo-nazi lives, and the Holocaust museum is up and running 2 days later. How is this happening? Do people agree with me that the nazi should be tried as a terrorist and immediately sentenced to death? Maybe he should be hanged the way Saddam Hussein was? I don’t even agree with the death penalty, but this is absurd. Further why would an 88 year-old man even be out running around with a rifle without anyone noticing? Shouldn’t he be watching the Price is Right or something? Again, [Republican reading this] please tell me how owning a gun makes sense.
I just remember a kinder time in America, and wish we could find it again. Is everyone just pissed off about the economy or what? Why are you mad?
