I decided to take a couple days off from the blogging, and updating on the site. Sometimes it just gets tedious and boring. But, there are some new features on the way that I think will be a lot of fun!

As most of you know I’m obsessed with Venus and Serena Williams. Being a tennis player, I have a profound affinity for their enormous talent and grace. Venus won Wimbledon in July, then Serena won the U.S. Open in August, and now Venus has won the WTA Season Ending Championships! I remember a few years ago when they were both struggling with injuries, if I would ever see them on the court again. Clearly the last 6 months have proven me wrong.

The WTA Championships are held in Doha, Qatar. The picture above shows Venus receiving the winner’s trophy from Sheika Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned, the first lady of Qatar. Venus also won $1,347,000. Not bad for a couple of tennis matches, right?

Meanwhile, as Venus was busy beating all the white girls off of the court, her opponent Vera Zvonareva was having an unprofessional hissy-fit by bitching and crying about losing a point. Does she really think she has a chance against a top form Venus Williams? Save the tears for home! Although she does give us bloggers something to write about.

In other news, I got an iPhone 3G today! 16GB, black! I am so excited. I’ll be writing about it later tonight or tomorrow. Happy Monday!
